Nano Miller has spent her entire life on Dog Island, a sanctuary for world’s last surviving canines and the testing ground for their robotic replacements. Every year, Nano gets a new model. But when Dog Island’s biggest celebrity supporter, movie star Marky Barky, arrives for his annual visit, Nano discovers something that shouldn’t exist: a real puppy. Unable part with it, Nano now finds herself on the run. She knows that the puppy could destroy her family, her boyfriend, and even the Island itself.
